Love the location, so big points for that. Henrys Lake is close to Yellowstone and most of the things you might want, as far as shopping or places to eat, are in West Yellowstone. Furthermore, the views of the lake and mountains from the campground are just amazing.

On the down side, the sites are a bit pricy for a state park. There are few trees and the sites are pretty close together. Worst of all, the dump station is closed and appears to be permanently out of order. So there’s that.

On the other hand, everything is well maintained. There is abundant staff and they are extremely friendly and helpful. Another big plus is the camp activities, which include a junior ranger program, and access to hiking trails within the park. I was also given a schedule for events at the amphitheater, which is always nice.
