Grand Teton National Park

For this review I am talking about the campground and not the RV park. The campground contains loops A through O and has 350 sites without hookups. Some of the loops do not allow generators, so be careful when making a reservation. Most of the sites are pull-through, which is good and bad. I pulled through on the right side of the road, so my awning and door faced the campsite. On the opposite side of the road, it might be possible to make a sharp turn and face the campground, but that is problematic for larger rigs. Also, the sites are wooded with decent dispersion, but there will be another RV literally the width of the road away from your trailer/RV, which is close.

The sites are not very level, but I thought that was a minor issue. There are bear boxes available, which is ideal. Bears are said to be very active in the campground. I did not have an issue. I only saw the same mule deer every morning right outside my window.

From the “O” loop there are trails leading directly to the lake. So swimming/fishing is close at hand. The facilities at Coulter Bay are well maintained. There are several restrooms on every loop that include flush toilets, running water and a place to wash dishes (if needed). The showers are centrally located with the laundry and other visitor services. So not really in walking distance.

At the end of the day, my only real complaint is that the sites are really packed in and there is a lot of traffic on the loops. This said, I would definitely stay here again.
