James M. Robb State Park
There are several units or James M. Robb State Park. I stayed in the Fruita unit. It’s a little close to the highway, but right on the Colorado River and the views of Colorado National Monument more than make up for any minor traffic noise. It is a panorama worth waking up to every morning. Simply stunning.
The campground itself is exceptionally well maintained and the staff is friendly. The facilities are modern and spotless. It is located very near (almost walking distance) from shopping and restaurants. Furthermore, the entrance to the National Monument is just a few minutes up the road and Bureau or Land Management land is also nearby offering additional areas to explore.
Finally, the campsites are pretty spacious with covered picnic table and fire ring. The sites were fairly level, paved and mostly pull thru. There are a variety of hookup options and an easily accessible dump station (if you wish to use an auxiliary tank). I can think of nothing to criticize.
So would I stay here again? Yes. Without question.
