Cincinnati’s 2025 River Roots Festival will include a Celebration of Tall Ships

Cincinnati will kick off the America’s 250th anniversary with a River Roots Festival that includes a celebration or Tall Ships. In October 2025 from Thursday the 9th thru Sunday the 12th, the Queen City waterfront will come alive with historic (and maybe not so historic) tall ships harkening back to the nations steamboat era.

Cincinnati was once a major steamboat hub with more than 140 boats in operation and many of them built in the city. This is a great way to capture a glimpse of a past when waterways were the nation’s primary means or transportation.
